Goal of creating a place to write about the wonders of Agriculture Fairs.

I will openly admit that it has taken me nearly eight months to launch this project. My concept is pretty simple. Share facts (both fun and helpful), “must sees”, and the basics to aid any fairgoer to have a memorable day at their chosen event. I am a “locally grown” product of San Luis Obispo County. Born and raised in Templeton, California I grew up with a love of agriculture and showing livestock statewide across a tapestry of Fairs. And a deep love for all things corn dogs and Ferris Wheels grew within my soul.

After generating a life long career in this timeless industry, its time to share what makes a Fair a local hero. In my early days working at the California Mid-State Fair, I remember the local news sources (print, radio and TV) covering every aspect of the annual festivities. Yet, with traditional media evaporating and creating space for new forms of digital content, the voice of “this man on the street” is getting pretty quiet. As traditional news coverage shrinks, my hope is that these stories and strategies will inspire a visit to your local, county or state Fair.
